Are Wisdom Teeth Really Wise?

Just a quick post today. I had a wisdom tooth pulled yesterday and as of this writing...it is doubtful that I will be going to work today. The silly tooth just didn't want to come out...even though it was cracked. After much persuasion by the dentist....it finally gave in. It seems the roots had little hooks on the ends and they were hanging on for dear life. :)

I will probably be home today, just chillin' out. My poor jaw feels like someone whacked me with a brick!

Enjoy your Friday and be sure you do something super nice for yourselves today.

Ick! I hated getting my wisdom teeth out. All four at once. And I hated that there was nothing wrong with them but my dentist kept bugging me about it on ever.six.month.visit. So I finally gave in...why? Because dentist and mother tried a new tactic...you'd better do it before you are off our insurance and then something happens to them. Thanks for scaring me guys. Guess what? I'm still on their insurance. *sigh*
I had a nice ice pack contraption wrapped around my face an spent that year's spring break alternating between resting and sitting on the couch with my laptop trying to concentrate enough to write a paper for my "The World Since 1945" history class. Good times. :)
I hope the hit-in-the-face feeling subsides quickly!!!!!

Ouch! sorry to hear that. Embrace the fact that you're home and try to maybe watch a fun movie or snuggle and read (with all those dogs!) Hope you feel better VERY soon.

I hope you feel better soon. I know it's uncomfortable. I had three removed at the same time and was so out of it. My husband said I asked him the same question 14 times on the way home.

Oh ,you poor thing!! I hope it heals quickly..

I still have all four of my wisdom teeth. The two on top are 100% out of the gums and fit just fine, but the two lower ones are kind of halfway out. I dread getting them removed!

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled--all of them at once, I sucked (through a straw) on ice water for two days. It helped keep the swelling down and relieved some of the pain.

I feel for you...Hope you get to feeling better soon!

My sincerest sympathies. My wisdom teeth came out easily but it was still painful. They gave me pain pills that had codeine and they made me so sick! The pills really distracted me from the pain in my jaw. Take it easy this weekend and eat applesauce, ice cream and mashed potatoes.

Would you believe I still have my wisdom teeth, after so many doctors telling me to have them out, they have never bothered me though!
