In most parts of our country, people are enjoying warmer temperatures and all of the activities that come with them. There are actually parts of our country though where you can still find lots and lots of snow. One of those areas is the San Juan Mountains.
On Sunday, Matt and a few of his friends hiked and skied 8 miles from the town of Ophir to where Matt lives in Telluride. It took them 7.5 hours. One of the friends was Matt's best friend....his gorgeous border collie, Luna.
I thought I would share some of his pictures with you. I can't stop looking at them....they are so wonderful. I hope you enjoy them.

Incredible photos!
Last weekend I met a lady who is "shirt-tail" relation of my husband. She recently moved to Colorado, not far from Telluride.
Those photos are incredible and breathtaking! Thank you for sharing! I knew there was snow somewhere--we got our last batch last week--only it didn't stick around!
I can only imagine how fresh and crisp the air must be. And what a wonderful companion Luna is. A sweetheart.

They are pretty to look at, but I'm no cold weather person. He can do the hiking, and I'll just enjoy the pictures.
Every time I see Luna in her little backpack it makes me smile!! Dogs want to help and I think it is great that she has a job!

At first, I thought the dog must get cold in the snow, but then I noticed in the last shot, the dog is panting! What beautiful pictures.
