Any Suggestions?

Irv called me from work on Friday and asked if I would want two chairs. He said someone had made them for a play....they are wood.....they are painted funky colors.

Okay....someone made them. I'm real happy with that. They are wood....that's super because I love wood. Funky colors.....they can always be repainted. No big deal.

I said, "Sure, we'll be able to do something with them."

Then he said, "They look kind of like thrones."

HUH??????

HAHA!! Any suggestions?

I don't know. I like them. I would more or less let them sit there and be chairs.

They're cool! If they don't make the most comfortable seating they'd look great as plant stands filled with pots of colorful flowers.

Well, they do look like they would improve your posture, but I'm not sure how comfy they'd be.

Maybe Irv could make matching foot stools!

Funky indeed! I'd paint them a deep blue.

I love them! I also like landyard lady's idea about sing them as plant stand. I see trailing vines.

I think they're cute. If they're not comfortable to sit in, then make plant stands out of them. Some nice big pots sitting in them, with some trailing plants and upright would be adorable. Or someone in my town, made plant people out of clay pots and saucers and dressed them up and put them in chairs in their flowerbeds. That was really cute, too.

I'm with KayzKreationz--make em into planters and set them on your porch or deck or back yard. They are too cute!

Just like Landyardlady the first thing I thought of was plant stands if you don't use them for seating. I think I'd paint them white and then paint green vines with a few flowers here and there on them as a background for real plants.

They sure don't look very comfortable... but I agree, how could you turn down wood furniture?
How about using them as indoor or outdoor shelving units? You could add small shelves across the chair back and then paint them to match where ever you want to place them!
Can't wait to see what you decide to do with them!! -Michelle

Cute! I think if you tone down the colors it will sort of hide the throne shape a tad. Add some of your super cute pillows and get Irv to make a matching coffee table to go in between. Sit on your thrones and enjoy some lemonade together!

I think I would saw half of the back so it's not so tall. Then I'd remove some of the vertical leg boards so that there are only four legs. Then sand, repaint, add some pillows. Voila! New look! And not so throney... lol.

I like them! I'd put some paint remover on 'em and age/distress them a bit. If you can't sit in them, use them for books and/or plants.
