Are You Ready?

Are you ready Idol fans? Tonight is the night we've all been waiting for! It's the two hour Premier of American Idol!!!! Chee Hoo!

No, I don't watch much TV but Idol is one of the few shows I do watch. Crazy isn't it? Why do I watch it? Well, the early shows give me some really good laughs as people strut their stuff in front of the judges. I love how excited they get when they are looked upon with favor by the panel of judges and get moved on to the next round.

I love a lot of different kinds of music and I really enjoy watching young, talented artists. They can be singing, dancing, acting....doesn't matter to me. I just enjoy their enthusiasm and true love for what they are doing.

I will admit that I cringe when the judges are so brutally honest with some of the contestants, but seriously, if you are so bad that you really can't carry a tune...then you know it and you are just looking to get your face on TV screens across the country. Take what the judges give you and move on people.

As the season progresses, like most other fans, I find my favorites. I also find a few that the judges seem to love that just irritate the hell out of me. Like little Miss Sunshine, Brooke White from Season 7. Oh my word, was she ever annoying with her fake smile and her "Thank you for the criticism, I still love you" attitude. UGH!

Even though there are a number of contestants that I have really liked, this is the first time I have ever owned a CD by one of them. I asked for and received an Adam Lambert CD for Christmas. In my opinion, Adam was probably the most all around talented artist ever to appear on the show....I play that CD over and over again. It's that good.
