Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I started walking every day after work this week, in accordance with my "plan" and Mother Nature has NOT been very cooperative. The first three days of the week were frigid. I mean cold enough where any exposed skin hurts like hell when you are out there...and I was out there all three days. Then Thursday it was a tad warmer, but it was snowing.

Some of our icicles
I don't own any good boots so I put on my hiking boots and headed out. It was pretty slippery....but I walked.

The start of my walk
I took my camera with so I could take a few pictures for you, but as you can see, it was still snowing and since I have no clue how to really use a camera....we have big white blobs all over the pictures....but it's okay, you'll get the idea.

Our neighbor's evergreen....so pretty covered in snow
One of the neighbors was shoveling when I walked by and asked me if I have had enough snow yet. "Not yet", I said. "If I have to have winter, then I'll take the snow." That wasn't the answer he was looking for. He wanted someone to commiserate with him.

Little lights peeking out of the snow

Big beautiful evergreens

I'm glad Irv puts my car in the garage every night for me.
I wouldn't want to get up to this in the morning.
Our Christmas tree waiting at the curb for the recycling truck
My empty squirrel feeders
My lilac bushIt was a nice walk and now I can cross that off my list for today.

I cannot believe you walk in that snow. You are one dedicated woman.

I'm getting cold just looking at the pictures. Brrrr.

Wonderful snow shots! I don't envy the guys in the recycle collecting truck having to dig everything out!

Hi Kathy, you asked where the bunting will be hung for Kate's wedding. Her reception will be in a lovely hotel called the country cottage and the room where the reception is being held has old oak beams and Kate wants bunting hung from the beams, I am also making hearts as favours for all the ladies.

That's what I call dedication! I don't go out when it snows because our sidewalks aren't safe if they aren't visible!

Great snow shots!

That looks familiar! Lots of snow here too.
I actually LOVE the pics with the snow dots! They look almost 3-d.
I'm proud of you for still walking in it! I'm sticking to the treadmill for now!

This snow HAS made getting around hard--by car or by foot! I think you're great to keep after that walk in this stuff! Pretty pictures!

You took some really nice pictures.
You're so lucky you have sidewalks. My neighborhood doesn't, so I'd have to walk in the poorly plowed, narrow street. Since the object of walking is to remain upright, I have to go elsewhere to walk. I respect your dedication!

it's too dangerous to walk in the streets when we have snow so we end up going somewhere to walk on an indoor track when it's icy or snowy. great pics!

You are so much more adventerous than me. Love all the snow pictures. That poor little toy car in the snow broke my heart though. I always wanted one of those when I was little.

Oh my goodness, how do you manage with all that snow?
Cheers.

An early morning or late evening walk in the snow is so peaceful. I love it when it's so quiet you can hear the hissing of the flakes falling and hitting the ground. I know you feel great after walking in the wonderful beauty Nature provides, even if it is cold!

Good for you, sticking to your plan in spite of snow, and taking photos besides. We have a lot of ice beneath the snow, so it has been quite a challenge just going a block from office to parking lot.
