Wow, my "To Do" list is growing and growing and growing. I've said before that I don't get rattled when I have a lot on my plate. I just prioritize and get to work. There are things right now that I absolutely have to do for my health and things I have to do for my business, and there are only so many hours in a day.
Osteoporosis is taking up a whole lot of my time right now. I am constantly on osteo websites and in osteo forums trying to find out what other people are doing....and let me tell you...no two people are doing the same thing. It's really confusing. I have my diet pretty much under control....even the walking and exercise is fairly simple to understand. Where I really get lost is with the supplements, therefore tomorrow I will be calling an MD in the next town that takes a more holistic approach to medicine. I want to take all of my test results and have a consultation with him to see if he can get me started on the right plan. I think with the proper guidance, I'll be on my way to healthier bones.
My etsy shop FourDogDay is being redone. I am allowing things I am not making anymore to expire. Eventually, I will end up with a smaller shop with a whole new look. I am signing my contract with the consignment shop this evening and once they sign it and return my copy, I will be able to start sending them things. They open in May. Besides that, I am looking into some small craft shows and Farmer's Markets for this spring and summer.
I really feel like I have things under control....there is just a lot to control right now. I don't know how it happens, but it all seems to work itself out in the end. I started making lists yesterday and that always seems to help. What's on your plate this spring?

Oh, this post speaks to me as I am feeling so behind. It's not that I am really, it's just the feeling as I was pretty much out of commission for a month with family visits and then being sick. Nothing is really urgent (except the tax return, which I am working on), but it's that feeling of having to catch up.
I'll make a new list today, and I'm also working in just quieting your mind...
On the osteo front, we just hear that Daniel's aunt, who is in her 70's and super active, broke her femur just walking. She's been on osteoporosis medication for four years and they just found out that if you take this drug (don't know which one it is) long-term, you can end up with brittle bones. I think it's very wise that you are taking a holistic approach first!
Have a wonderful (and relaxed) day! Love, Silke
Tops on my list is staying focused on being creative and productive in beadland as my day job situation becomes more and more difficult. I'm glad you feel in control; that's so important.
"..no two people are doing the same thing." That's because they are not affected by disease in the same way.
However, it's important to read the stuff on all those forums;it's even more helpful than consulting a doctor who'll immediately prescribe medication which as a rule has side effects on blood and bones.
You have such clarity, though! A plan is HUGE!
My plate is overflowing onto 2 other plates and I need to get a few things cleared off. The garden. The yard. The baseball schedule. My manuscript. Yikes!
i am trying to concentrate on one thing at a time today...i have a huge to do list for spring and summer but that is a good thing since it means i have work coming in!
i don't have osteo issues (at least not yet) but am dealing with my plummeting potassium issue which is sort of interesting. i have always had a potassium rich diet but somehow it isn't being absorbed (i take no medication so it's not that, either) anyway, tra-la-la-laaaa!
On the very top of the list is that our family has something REALLY special in the works but I can't talk about it just yet. Everthing was supposed to be completed next Thursday but that's kind of up in the air right now. For now I can say it will be cause for a GREAT celebration.
Around the house we've got tree planting to do and flower and vegetable planting to do. Plus we're still trying to find a water fountain. If not, we need to build one.
I am a list make too. It really does help. Also, I don't make myself do it all-like I was doing. Now, if I don't have time to blog- I don't do it. I use to never skip a day. Now if I can't do it, I catch up later.
I am really diggin' the red flower brooch on the right side of your page.
