"What kind of project?" I asked.
"One you will love!" she replied.
"Why? Is it tedious, boring and repetitious?" I ask excitedly.
"It's lots of little things that need to be done perfectly," was her reply.
Man, I could hardly wait to find out what it was! I finished up the rest of my work and went into her office. "Can you show me the project now?" I asked....hardly able to hold back my excitement.
You think I'm kidding.....but I'm really not. I LOVE projects like that. I once had a job where I had to put stickers on brochures. They had to be put on in the exact place and at the correct angle. You had to work fast because you were paid by the piece. It was awesome.
I always thought I would like working in a factory. Just sitting on my butt all day putting things together.....
This project is making labels with the kid's names on them, sticking one on a name tag, adding a little colored dot and putting another label on a colored folder. There will more to it, but that's all I know right now.
Why on earth would I like doing things like that? It makes me wonder about myself. If any of you would like to practice your psychology skills on me....take a stab at it! Tell me why I like to do things like this that no one in their right mind would want to do? Oh, maybe I just answered my own question!

I am just like that!! I have always thought I would enjoy working in a factory!
...and I thought I was the only one!
I do like projects like that... once I had to stuff envelopes with three different cards in a certain way to 2000 patrons in a day. I think it's relaxing and that's the reason why I like to do work like that.
I don't know that you are so different by seeing the comments here and knowing that I like that kind of stuff too! lol! I think it is a welcome relief from wracking my brain over bookkeeping boo boo's and tax issues.
I had a HUGE corporate gifts order to do for Volvo Trucks a couple of years ago. 250 bracelets. I could not do all the same since it was hard to get that many exact components..so I designed about 12 different styles for them. Friends and family thought I was nuts but I was the happiest camper working on it every day. Loved seeing my piles of bracelets grow while I mindlessly worked and be-bopped to background music :)
I love doing projects like that too. I find it very therapeutic:) Must be why I love making jewelry, some of it is just repetitious work - mmm...love it:) Nice to know that there are others like me.
I'm not so sure I'm one of you repitition gals!! I get too bored doing the same thing over and over! Like Christmas cards, what a pain! By the last one I'm ready to just throw the pieces in the envelope and not even put them together properly!
Sounds like there are a few of us that like the same things! I owned a dog biscuit company for 10 years. Once I found a baker to do the baking, that left me sticking stickers on thousands of bags each month and packing all the biscuits. Loved it! Crazy.
