Successful Sale

Last year I didn't run any type of holiday sale in my etsy shops, FourDogDay and MyOtherShop. I just really didn't feel it would make much difference for me since at that time, I didn't see my things as being "gifty".

This year I had some things that I thought would make nice gifts and decided to have a sale. I had some free shipping, some discounts and a couple of clearance sections. I have to say that I am pleased with the way things went. I certainly sold a lot more than I normally do, and I tend to think that the free shipping and discounts helped.

I ran the sale over Thanksgiving weekend and then left it in place. I will most likely end it this weekend.

I have so many things I will be changing in my shops over the winter that I am really raring to go. I know I will be offering aprons, tote bags and my clocks....but beyond that....I'm not really sure. It will be a surprise.....for you.....and ME!!

If you have an etsy shop...did you have a sale? If so, how did it go?

Make it an awesome day for yourselves and we will chat soon!

I don't own an Etsy shop but I did participate in several Etsy sales! Love getting things at a discount or with free shipping! Makes it easier on my pocketbook!

PS: Thanks for holding that sale!

I have never had a sale in my shops, at least so far. I do offer free shipping sometimes but I always end up losing money so I don't do it too often.

I'm glad your sales worked out well for you! I will also be changing up my shops--probably moving everything back into one shop and then opening a vintage shop after the new year!

Good for you!! Can't wait to see all the new clocks!

I had a sale from Thanksgiving Day until Cyber Monday. It went really well-I sold 44 items- with the most being sold on Cyber Monday.

I am going to do a bit of changing in my shop too...I have so many ideas. I am going to leave the name-CutNGlue (because I don't want to lose feedback, hearts, and sales...) But I am thinking of making my banner say something along the lines of "Cut N Glue and Other Things Too!" Not, sure I am going to have to think on it.

I'm glad the sale went well for you... I tried to do a sale and sold one thing during it, but my stuff is more summer related.

I'm excited about the end of the year coming up... this weekend is my last craft show of the year and I'm spending the last week of the year at my Grandmother's while we experiment with new design ideas to launch in the new year!

Congratulations on a successful sale! You have so much to choose from, I'm sure you'll always do well. I have a "thank you for another great year on Etsy sale" in my shop. It's done pretty well. I'm lucky.
