I have a real messed up spine and one of my shoulder blades sticks out more than the other. When I do arm and shoulder exercises it starts to get very uncomfortable as it did on Friday. On top of that, I took one of those quick little "oops" slips on some ice Friday. I didn't fall, but it was just enough to cause my muscles to all tighten up on me. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up where I left off some time today. I am tweaking the yoga and pilates exercise plan to include some leg exercises. I am really enjoying the workouts right now.
My healthy eating is going pretty well also. I'm just watching what I eat and trying to make better choices where my snacks are concerned. I'm also making sure that one dinner a week is a nice big salad like this one I had last week so I'm getting some greens. Yes, that whole thing was for me and I ate every last bit of it!
I have my shopping list and coupons ready and we are about to head to the store. Hopefully we will come back with a few dollars left so we can get our favorite Friday night carry out!
I snapped this shot of our icicles right before Irv went out to knock them all down. If you leave them they can actually cause your roof to leak. I think they are so pretty though.
One last thing.....do you have cable TV or dish? We pay a ton for our basic cable and are considering taking one of the special offers for Dish Network to save some money. We have always had cable. Your thoughts?

Sorry to hear about your back troubles. Do watch yourself on the ice. And that salad looks YUMMY! Do I see avocado? I do love avocado.
Do be careful! I hope your back and shoulder gets to feeling lots better soon!
The salad looks yummy--were those dried cranberries?
As for TV--we have neither dish, cable, or satellite. :D
look at those babies :)
Sorry to hear about pain, I do hope the Doc can get you back in alignment.
And a hearty congrats for your healthy eating (we all could do a little better on that).
We have a dish...too far out for cable :)
May today be a blessing for you and your family, on this Glorious day:)

some exercises seem to really bother parts of our bodies...did your doctor suggest you change the exercise a bit or try something different so you don't aggravate it more? no one likes pain ;-)
we have basic cable, no dish. there's a lot of fog and wind here and dishes are here but most people switch back to cable if they try one....i would ask in your area...;-)
I have cable, it's one of my few indulgences (the others being bottled water and the newspaper).
The cost is outrageous but because of my location, there's not much I can do. The condo assn doesn't allow antennas or dishes and being in a valley there's no reception without electronic assistance, I'm stuck. I wish you well in your search for more economical TV and in getting the kinks out of your anatomy.
That is a delish-looking salad--and some deadly-looking icicles!
We have cable--but nothing premium, just a regular package so I have no good advice.
That Salad looks wonderful..I could eat Salad all day long..We have cable but it is run through our City Electric Company so is not really expensive...I hear that Dish has some really great buys I know my Daughter is thinking about changing over..
Oh that salad looks so yummy - share the ingredients with us Kathy!
So sorry about your pain - hopefully you are on the way to "pain free" at the moment.
We don't have cable or dish - we have fios (fiber optic) - fios is probably not offered in your area??? I'm very happy with it.
I sure hope your back gets back to normal soon. Good job on the healthy eating. I am having a very hard time getting back on the healthy eating ban wagon...I will try again this week.
I hope your pain has lessened by the time you read this.
That salad looks so yummmy! Like Lanyardlady I am an avocado lover from way back. My mom used to make us avocado sandwiches. UUMMMMMM! GOOD! I'll even eat one straight out of the peel - cut it open, add a little salt and dig in.
We've had satellite for a number of years now. Cable just got way to expensive in the town where we used to live. Now that we live in the country, satellite works best.
The icicles are beautiful!
We have dish network and it's fine. Sometimes, when the weather is really fierce, it doesn't work as well but otherwise, we like it.
I hope that your sore muscles feel better soon!
We just switched from cable to dish in november....love it! It is much cheaper and the dvr is so much better!
Sorry to hear about your back and shoulder!!! Get well and stay safe!!
What is in your salad?? it looks so good!
We have Direct TV and love it!!
