The river is so darn high that people's piers are under water again.
I have never really cared for the weather here in Northern Illinois. Winters are often bitterly cold, springs is usually really wet, summer is normal hot and humid and fall is just a mixed unpredictable bag depending on the year.
What's your favorite weather and are you living in your dream weather? I am certainly not. I don't like the frigid weather and I really don't like the heat and humidity. I like sunshine because it warms my heart and soul, but what good is it if I'm sitting inside with the AC on? Illinois is not the place for me.
I would love to live where it's sunny most of the time with temperatures around 75-85 with low humidity. Someone told me I should try Hawaii. Sure I'll just pack up my stuff and head on over!
I'm still thinking the front range in Colorado would be good for me. Fairly mild winters, lots of sunshine and less humidity.......
Any other suggestions?

Not here! It is so friggin HOT! Everyone is crabby and I can't remember the last time I saw rain. Even though summer just started yesterday...I can't wait for fall.
Right now we're hot and humid, which typically precedes really hot and really humid, which usually precedes at least one hurricane! Colorado sounds good!
I hear you Angela and believe me...if I could send you some rain...I gladly would!
My sister lives in SC and that sounds about like her weather. The south is not for me...that I know.
We're getting tons of rain here in NYC... I like it here... the witners are good and snowy but don't last too long, Spring is beautiful and so is the fall... the summer can range... but for us the seasons are rather mild ... though my trip to California was awesome with the perfect non humid 70 - 80 degrees... no sight of rain either! =D
I want to say "Sorry"..but, really I'm not. It's lovely here in sunny Cali. A soft Summer breeze just escort us on our daily walks.
I'm with you sister. We have had one day sun and the next rain. Friday was nasty wasn't it with all the thunderstorms. I hope this week is better. Enjoy! xoox
We are in a similar rain pattern as you except being off the ocean we are now having an unseasonal nor'easter that is lasting about 3 days as well...sheesh. Cape Cod has gorgeous summers and falls but the winters and springs leave much to be desired. So far, though, I haven't been anywhere I'd rather live ;-) I've been lots of places I like to visit, though!
Just heard on the news last night we've had 17 out of 22 days with rain in the month of June!
I would recommend the Philadelphia area because generally we have 4 lovely full seasons and no extreme weather, however I have to say Mother Nature has not given us our usual lovely spring.
You have been awarded the One Lovely Blog Award! Congrats! Come visit my blog to accept your award!
Happy day!

We are having a rare, perfect day in Virginia/DC but it won't last. Mid/upper 70's (relatively) low humidity and a lovely breeze. We learn to treasure them when they arrive: I've gardened today, ate lunch on the deck, and going to a baseball game tonight.
Soon it will be in the 90's and humid! : (
